I had the pleasure of being a guest lecturer for a typography-based graphic design class at CSU, recently. This was my first guest speaking appearance at a university and from my understanding my babbling — which I now call Tangent Talking — wasn't half bad. Bringing in several fonts of wood type to the class I thought it would bring the relationship of typography of today with the old ways right into focus for the young students. I set up a demo and and even did some trivia with giveaways for anyone who had the right guess to the letterpress-related questions I threw at them.
